at our “secret escape”. Spent mostly on the nature reserve. We will no doubt be back again soon.
at the cottage. We’ve been coming here for 15 years! Home from home. Weather good too.
.. for providing such a lovely home for a few days. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and even managed a few hours of sunshine on Winchelsea Beach!
we hope to return.
Nice comfortable beds, very clean. Weather was warm & hot.
The cookies were lovely, definitely would come back.
A good time was had by all. Lovely little place! Would come back! Thank you for the cookies, do love a tea & biscuits.
Always feels comfortable, enjoyed sitting in garden – such a sun trap, fabulous weather all week.
at the cottage, always comfortable and homely. Weather really good, walks on beach + visit to nature reserve.
We had fantastic weather and sitting on Camber Sands thought “who needs Spain”!
Thank you so much.
Cosy cottage, good weather, very relaxing. Hope to be back soon.
Thanks very much.
The weather was certainly on our side. Feeling blessed we have been able to use this “secret escape” despite the past 15 months. We will be back soon.
at the cottage, weather mixed but still enjoyable. Cosy nights with the log fire. We’ll be back soon.
Could have done without the biting wind though! Cosy evenings in front of the log burner. Lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.
(Mum after lockdown year!) Lovely cottage, lovely area and fantastically friendly driver on the bus to and from Rye. It was amazing, lovely eggs from next door and it was nice to have a garden!
.. .. despite the atrocious weather, still good to be here. I am sure we will be back soon!
Weather was really good, lots of sightseeing, cosy log fires at night.
Cosy cottage, weather was kind. Very relaxing, thank you.
Took a while to get used to the new layout but found everything o.k. in the end! Fab weather, long 12 mile walk. Stunning sunset. Be back soon.
..at the cottage, lucky with weather too, only chilly last day or so. Long walks to nature reserve, spotting a marsh harrier1 Look forward to coming back next month.
.. but first time we’d seen the new kitchen/diner layout. I can’t lie, we miss the old characterful room but it’s cleverly done and we can see it’s advantages. We had amazing weather – 25 degrees or more today and sat on the beach for the first time.
Explored local paths more, bird-watching and blackberry picking. The car did not move during our short time here – wish it was longer. Many thanks again, it;s a special place.
PS : love the new painting additions – Oystercatcher & Redshank.
First trip since lockdown – feels normal again!
Great to be back after almost a year – the new layout downstairs is really good.
Cottage cosy and comfortable. Lots of walking to beach and nature reserve, recommend ‘William the Conquerer’ – no need to book.
PS The Oak at Rye Foreign is a great pub, recommend booking in advance.
Really love the new house layout downstairs. Well done! Recommend the Queen’s Head in Icklesham for good food in a garden with lovely views over the bay. We’ll be back soon no doubt!
Love it here, so relaxing! Great to enjoy the great outdoors down by the sea. Will be back (again).
Thank you so much for a very comfortable and relaxing stay at your cottage! We had a wonderful week-end, and Rye will always be a very special town for us. We wish you all the best and thank you again for your hospitality. Look forward to coming again.
Amazing location! So much to do on the doorstep. We spent only 3 nights & 4 days here, Loved the nature reserve and all the walks you can do around here. A bird-lovers paradise. Thank you for leaving tea/coffee/milk/biscuits/flowers – appreciated. There are so many useful leaflets & games, thanks. I thought the binoculars were a lovely touch. Would recommend the “treasure trails” Murder Mystery, to explore Rye.
We’ve had a lovely stay here – in your welcoming pretty cottage. Everything we needed for a lovely stay. So nice to be greeted with flowers and essential goodies! Would love to return in the future.
